Caravan Park Rules & Booking Conditions
Park Rules
1. Authority for the conduct of the Park is vested in the Manager or their representative. In this connection, entry may be refused to or removal required of any persons, tent or caravan.
2. Visitors are required to book in on arrival and check out on final departure.
3. Speed Limit - Strictly 5 mph (8km/h) for cars and bicycles.
4. One-Way System - The one-way roads system applies to cyclists as well as vehicles, and must be observed at all times. Cycling is not permitted between pitches.
5. Motorised scooters, skateboards and quad bikes are strictly prohibited on any part of the Park.
6. Noise - All quiet by 11 pm – at all other times, noise should be kept to a minimum to avoid disturbance to other Park visitors.
7. Parking- Fire Regulations stipulate that only one car per pitch is permitted. Additional cars should be parked in the car park and paid for at Reception.
8. Barbeques and Fires – Barbeques are permitted, except in tent areas, but they must be of proper construction, the base of which must not come in to contact with the grass or pitch marker. Please ensure that coals are properly extinguished before placing in refuse bins. Open fires, of any nature, are strictly prohibited.
9. Dogs are permitted on the Park provided that they are kept on short leads. They must not be allowed to soil the ground within the Park - accidents must be cleared up immediately. Dogs can be exercised on the extensive walks surrounding the Park- again, accidents must be cleared up immediately. Dogs must be supervised at all times on the Park and never left unattended. A maximum of 2 dogs per pitch is permitted.
10. All visitors are asked to keep the toilet / shower facilities as clean and tidy as possible - not to leave taps running or put articles likely to cause obstructions into the basins, sinks or toilets.
11. The contents of chemical toilets must be emptied only at the disposal points provided.
12. Suitable receptacles must be used for the collection of waste water – these should not be allowed to over-flow and must be emptied only at the disposal points provided.
13. Smoking is not permitted in any of the public buildings. Please dispose of cigarette ends carefully in the receptacles provided.
14. Litter must always be placed in the many refuse bins provided around the Park. The irresponsible discard of litter, by any person, adult or child, will not be tolerated.
15. The washing of dishes, clothes and pets is not permitted within the toilet / shower facilities. Facilities for those purposes are provided elsewhere on the Park.
16. Water - Hot water must not be carried from the toilet / shower facilities for any purpose.
17. Hose-pipes – The use of hosepipes for washing cars, caravans is strictly prohibited.
18. Games - Visitors should use the central area provided. Please do not cause a disturbance by playing between pitches. Practise golf is not permitted on any part of the Park.
19. Laundry - The hanging of clothes on lines outside caravans or tents, or on fences, is not permitted. Washing lines are provided near to the laundry.
20. Children - Parents are responsible for providing all supervision of their children whilst on the Park and in all buildings, children must not be allowed to play in the toilet/ shower facilities.
21. Gazebos are not permitted on the park.
22. The Park Warden is there to assist park customers and help maintain a peaceful and safe environment for everyone. Failure to comply with a Warden’s request, may result in the removal from the Park (in conjunction with the Police, where necessary) of any persons, tent, caravan, motorhome or vehicle.
Booking Conditions
General Conditions
1. 2009 seasons runs from Monday 1st March to Monday 29th November.
2. Latest arrival time for both caravan holiday homes and pitches is 9.30pm.
3. After confirmation, all amendments are subject to a £2.00 administration fee.
4. All prices include v.a.t. at the prevailing rate.
5. Sorry – no single sex groups or unsupervised young groups (under 21 years) – we are a family park.
Touring Pitch Booking Conditions
1. Minimum booking period of 2 nights : 2 - 5 April, 30 April - 3 May, 28 - 31 May, 1 July – 30 August
2. Deposit required on booking – one night’s pitch fee. Balance of all charges payable on arrival.
3. A booking is not valid until a fully completed booking form and appropriate payment has been received and confirmed by the Park.
4. Telephone bookings are only accepted when there is insufficient time to process written bookings (10 days or less until arrival). Payment in full will be required using either credit or debit card. No multiple bookings (2 or more) will be accepted by telephone.
5. A maximum of 3 parties will be accepted as a group booking but only by completed booking forms. Parties of more than three will not be accepted.
6. Exact pitches can be requested and, although every effort will be made to reserve these, they cannot be guaranteed.
7. Should you wish to extend your stay, then this will be subject to pitch availability and may involve moving pitch.
8. Tents are not permitted alongside an awning.
9. Cancellation – Any cancellation of a booking, by the client, must be made in writing. Written cancellations received in advance of the arrival date will receive a full refund less one night’s fees to cover administration costs. Unfortunately, no refund can be made for cancellations received on or after the confirmed date of arrival.
Caravan Holiday Home Booking Conditions
1. Hire Period – 1 week or multiples thereof are from Saturday to Saturday. Short Breaks are available from Friday to Monday (3 nights) or Monday to Friday (4 nights).
2. Deposit required on booking – 50% of total hire charge . Balance is due three weeks prior to arrival.
3. Check in time is 4.00pm on the day of arrival. Check out time is 10.00am on the day of departure.
4. Pillows, duvets and bed linen are provided. Towels are not provided.
5. Where necessary, we reserve the right to allocate a larger caravan than requested.
6. All caravans are non-smoking.
7. Dogs/pets are only permitted in a few caravan holiday homes and strictly by prior arrangement. Maximum of two dogs/pets per unit at a cost of £2.00 per dog/pet per night.
8. Cancellation – We strongly recommend taking out cancellation insurance as refunds cannot be given.
Loss /Damage: Blair Castle Caravan Park cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to any vehicle, tent, caravan or its contents whilst on the Park or on any storage area, no matter how such loss or damage shall occur.
Services: Blair Castle Caravan Park cannot be held responsible for the failure of water, drainage or other mains services beyond our immediate control.
Breach of Conditions / Rules: Blair Castle Caravan Park reserves the right to refuse any booking or to ask any person to leave the Park. A refund of any outstanding fees paid will constitute full discharge of any obligations between the parties.
Prices: Blair Castle Caravan Park reserves the right to alter prices in the event of a change in the prevailing rate of V.A.T.
